$166 GS300 from kankge
Hey Gang,
Just took a ride over to Kangke and picked up an old GS300 for $166 bucks! I was pretty happy. This kit normally sells for 235 but this is an old color scheam (which I like better) and they want to clear off their shelves. I think these wer the kits they were selling at the WRAM show.
There was only 5 or 6 left so you guys should jump on this if you want one. The quality of the kit (Minus hardware and wheel pants) was just outstanding.
If this holds up like my CAP it would be an exceptional deal.

I got one as well, and I agree this is a steel. I like the way their kits are built and so far they all have flown well. It kind of suprises me that a larger portion of the RC world hasn't found out about them yet. I agree scrap the hardware, but I like the PVC wheel pants, they're almost indestructable and hold up much better than fiberglass when flying off grass.

I bought one too a few weeks back, this is my 2nd one. I like em both. I have a TT91 four stroke in one, and a Saito 1.20 in the other. Luckily I got my 1st one at the LHS, which is the new blue white scheme for $166.00, and then I got the 2nd older scheme at Kangke for $166.00 and they are both awesome. Like Rickp said these are gonna sell fast, I bet after Toledo, they will be gone. Daz...

Yeah Daz,
They did say something about wanting to put some stuff aside for Toledo. I think Kangke is going to do well. At the Wram show Yuri brought a video of his Texas Hurricane doing nothing but hovering for 15 minuets. After they turned on the video those planes were selling like hotcakes. Here are some pics of the scheam I picked out. I'll fly it this weekend.

Hey,
I'm a field controller at the "Creek". Fly on Saturday evenings and once daylight savings kicks in I'll be there Tues and Thurs eveings too. Never thought I'd look forward to loosing an hour of sleep :-)
What's the deal at Bethpage? Will you guys open again after the US Open? There's rumors that we will have to absorb all of you guys.

Rick,
Should only be closed out for 2-3 weeks. We'll be back in business after the Open. This is the one time we're glad about the Polo players. They will still be there.

Hey wildthing,
How do you like your Tigershark 120? I need a 120 for my goldberg ultimate. I like the price on the TS but I know nothing about them. What does your plane weigh? Are you using a pitts muffler? Thanks for your advise.

weighs 8.5 lbs,the engine is ok but i am happier with my 75s.I have a GMS 120 that is more powerfull. The TS has about 3/4 of a gallon thrue it so far(it replaced a TS 91)so its not broken in yet and will get stronger. For the money it is a pretty good engine and very user friendly.I paid 128.oo for my 1st one and there was a cross porting problem with them and it did not run rite and kange replaced it with there new model rite away. The company backs up there products very well.I'm building a Goldberg ultimate rite now and i'm putting my GMS 120 in it.I use Kanges pitts muffler in my GS 300 but it does suck some power as most pitts mufflers are known to do.

At speed when i crank and bank or try to do a fun fly loop it will snap right pretty hard but it is only bad when i try to fly it like a fun fly plane. It will pull off some real hairy stuff but you have to respect the elevater.I am using 2"of elev travel each way so mine is a lot more sensitive to this than if you set it up by the book.It is a easy plane to land and has no wierd traits and is very by the book for this type of plane. It will lomchavok easily and does excellent snap rolls. The landing gear block needed to be beefed up a little to hold up to our grass field.

Tip Stall?
The plane flys well. If you are worried about being able to handle the stall tendencies just put the CG far forward and keep the nose down. This plane handles like a ***** cat. The CG they reccomend is already pretty far forward. I'm not done trimming mine yet but it's already back behind the reccomended range.
I don't like the CA hinges though. The control surfaces are too stiff with that type of hinge. I'll change them out soon.
Rick.
LMAO, Sorry about the censorhip! I should have said Kitty Cat. Hope I don't get in trouble for that one!

Rickp, glad to hear you like yours, I like mine too. What engine did you install in yours. And man I must say you must be new to this hobby because as soon as you get a plane, before I know it you have built it and flown it. You are quick at assembling and flying these suckers. Keep up the good work Rickp. Daz...

New?
Hey Dazzler,
New??? No way LOL. I started flying in 7th grade. Granted I took a breather to go to college and then chase women, but I've been back at it full time now for a little more than 3 years. it took me 3 months to build that G202, didn't think that was too fast, but I will admit that this one I busted a move one. I needed a good solid back up plane that I wouldn't worry about flying in the wind. Took me 2 weeks to get together.
For power I got a TigerShark .91 it's OK, but it doesn't rev out too well. It seems to like a large prop now I've got a 15-6 on it, but I also got a 14-8 I want to try.
Rick
PS, I do try to fly at least once a week ;-)

Rickp, I know you have been flying for awhile, by the kind of planes your flying. I have been flying for about 12 years now and think this is the best hobby around. I quit flying for awhile, like you said, I opted on chasing women then. I have a TT91 4 stroke in my 1st GS300 and a Saito 1.20 in my newest one I got for $166.00. On my 2nd one I modified the scheme to look like the one on the box, looks great. I havent flown the 2nd one yet, still waiting for the weather, and the muddy field to dry out. But the one with the TT91 flies great, thats the reason I got the 2nd one. Good luck. Daz...
