Hinges on G.P Escapade
Does anybody know what type of hinges are installed in the G.P Escapade? I looked at them carefully and they apeared to be made out of a fiberglass paper. Did not look like the typical nylon hinges produced by Du-Bro. Just wanted to know how to pin this type of hinge.

I believe they're just the standard CA hinges that most 40-60 sized aircraft come with. You simply insert the hinge and surface, get it all aligned and then put a few drops of THIN CA into it and it'll wick into the wood. I use a skewer or toothpick to drip CA down so as to not make a mess on the covering. Use 4 drops per side and you'll be golden. If you want to pin them to be sure (I never do, but I always re CA preinstalled hinges for security), just dril a small hold through and insert/CA a small dowl like the the skewer I mentioned.

If you want to pin them, just push a straight pin through the wood till you hit the hinge, then push it in until it just breaks through the hinge.
Now, cut the pin off with a pair of side cutters and (using the face of the side cutter) push whatever is left of the pin flush with the stab.
Now the hinge is pinned and all that shows is a pinhole (On the bottom so even that doesn't show)
