A look at the under carriage:

Chassis is 2 stock custom cut to desired length and braced w/ angle aluminum

front center drive shaft was shortened to move tranny ahead

rear shaft is made of maxx 2.5 wheel shafts. steel dogbone is being worked on for better strength.

exhaust was hand made for fit. brazed together i hope it holds. i think it should the engine shouldn't get it anywhere near as hot as i had too to braze it together.

Default RE: OFFICIAL CUSTOM RC THREAD

a look at the open body layout:

I custom cut the Firehammer cage to fit around the engine and for the body. i also added some bracing to help stiffen it up. i also added some bracing to help support the shock tower for the Aftershock suspension.

OFNA throttle kit for the gas and brake.

Kimbaugh servo saver for the steering

One custom shaft to go from the engine to the tranny. kind of a stiff universal because of the dual pivot. i heard SNAP-ON has a single ball in their universal. haven't seen one yet though.

a look at the Aftershock shock(LST/LST2 but plastic) mounting and Modifacation:

kind of tricky to figure out but i think i like the finish.

Duratrax Raze rear shock towers bolted directly to the stock t-maxx towers (slightly modified) for the extra hieght needed because of the longer shocks.

cut one of the loops off the front upper a-arms. kind of week now. i hope they hold. looking for something a little more solid

because the rear tower holds the cage too i braced the whole tower down to the rear bulkhead and just removed the rear bumper. i still may add some braces to go to the top of the front towers to help support those too

Nice work! That's a good amount of customization and a pile of imagination. Very nice!

Sweet! I love extra axles on vehicles. You did a nice job on that six-wheeler.

Do all three axles drive?

Rieko,

THANX

front ones don't. you can see it is just the stampede front end. looks like the other two do though

EDIT: actually, i was just checking it out again and it doesn't look like the rear has any driveshafts either. maybe just the center ones work

No, unfortunately only the middle axles drive. I might get the rear wheels hooked up for power too one of these days (when funds allow ) .
Still drives pretty good for 2WD, though.

hi i am posting on this thread for the first time. i finally found a forum for the non normal like me! I am currently working on a strange contraption with a purpose. it going to be a snow/grass/ sand speeder. it will have early maxx suspension on all four corners with two sets of full force ski conversions. the chassis is going to be something like a outrigger boat but this is unclear yet. it will be running an electric airboat type propulsion with pusher prop.wel'll see how it works out. im going to experiment with propulsions to see what works best.
