Kyosho Nitro Engines
Hi i would have posted this in the nitro section but for some reason i cant post there. Anyway i have a Kyosho TR15 Monster Touring Car with the GS15R engine in it i was thinking about putting the Kyosho .21 buggy engine in. Can anyone tell me if the engine mounts will be the same? i.e will it fit straight in? Also will the clutch bell from the.15 go on the .21 or would i just be better off getting the 2 speed transmission? Oh yeah anyone any ideas as to why i cant post in the nitro cars forum? Thanks in advance for any help

Good luck, I'd like a TR-15 monster touring myself one day. When I looked at the model up close, I have doubts that a .21 or bigger will fit, however you CAN fit in a Sirio, Fantom or XTM .18 and it should frigging rip! Imagine what a .21 will do to a car of 3.5 lbs.

Well just got word from the guy that was thinking of buying it from the.21 has 4 mount points as opposed to the 3 the .15 has. This looks good as under the engine on my chassis there are four seperate drilled holes. I am hoping it will fit Its my first nitro car and i have to say i love it Great fun i have had a bit of trouble with my radio gear but i hope i will get that sorted the car ran me over the other day when i lost control. I think the crystal may have come lose. Will keep yas updated

My experience with the GS21-R engine says - Stay ahell away from it! It's a real POS!
Well...thinking some more on this issue the engine I have experience from may be a older model...it really poor build quality and strange solutions for the pullstarter and exahust header ect...
