What Gas Engine to Replace a YS-110?
I've got an old 60-90 size Aeroworks Edge 540T (65" wing span). My YS can turn an APC 16x6 right at 10,000. What gas engine can get me close the the performance I have now (with the added weight of the engine) with the YS? Would I need a 26cc like the new v2 CRCC Pro 26?

A good 26cc gas engine will give the same performance as the YS110 but be heavier and larger in overall size. If you want to replace the YS to reduce the 20% nitro fuelcosts then look for electric power IMO.

Fuel costs and the mess! Geezzz, I have G-90 on a pipe that dumps half the oil on my plane that the YS does. No denying the power of the YS though. Lots of power and you can mount the fuel tank anywhere you want.

it is actually possible to reduce the mess and the costs by a good amount by reducing the oil and nitro content. A clubmember flies his YS:s on 15% oil and only 10% nitro and i ran mostly the same fuel when i had my YS.
