<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; ">My DF-02 is making a grinding noise every time i accelerate, the rear left tire is not being responsive most of the time and stops and goes while the others are spinning. Im pretty sure its a gear problem. Help would be appreciated. Thx, I included a video.

thats a spur gear, it might be the problem. the gear attached to the motor is called a pinion and the gear meshed with that is called a spur. the spur drives a shaft that goes into the tranny that moves more gears that move dogbones that are connected to a front or rear diff, which then transfers the movement to the axle and tire/wheel. what i suggest is finding a worn gear somewhere, find out exactly where that noise is coming from, and just dont be afraid to take it apart and look inside. thats another way to help you know how your car works better so you can enjoy it to the max.

sounds like the rear tires binding IMO for some reason.
Try rotating the rear tire thats not spinning with your hand while holding the other one. if you hear and clicking chances are the rear diffs damaged.
To check the spur gear take out the 4-5 screws (forgot how many exactly and I don't feel like looking) that hold the motor mount in and look at the gear![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
I once had a similar sound turns out I set my mesh wrong on the motor and it was too tight. Thats one of the few gripes I have with the DF-02. Without lookingat the manual you can EASILY set the wrong gear mesh for a given pinion.
And damn those tires look damn big most I've ran on my DF-02 are 2.2 truck Dirt Hawgs.
