starter shaft problems

starter shaft problems
anyone have this problem , i went to start my 8.0,when the start shaft came out of the motor, i pushed it back in the motor ,but it came back out is there a way to fix or do i have to replace the hole starter shooting match thanks

Not 100% sure but sounds to me like during assemble AE forgot to install it before installing the engine back plate.
I could be wrong but looks to me if you remove the engine back plate then install the shaft and reinstall the back plate all will be good!
From the picture looks like the flange should go between the one-way bearing and the engine back plate?
