Default Carb will not adjust help needed badly!

Hi I got mgt off ebay had to sort out clutch and was running really lean so using info from review closed all card screws then opened to factory settings as a start point. The high and low speed needles are ok but my real prob is that the carb will not adjust it is now at 1/4 open and will not go less. I can see the srew moving in and out and the other end in carb moves but makes no difference to the carb slide tried by hand to move it and it seems to hit a wall at about 1/4 like it will not go past any ideas really welcome.

Should have checked properly before starting as went off like a missile and brakes would not stop it luckily a parked car did! lol no damage to either thank heavens.

try adjusting the servo horn so that the carb closes off or gets closer to closed so you can adjust the idle.

Thanks Scott. Tried that but even by hand it just stops dead and no matter what adjustments are made to idle screw it will not budge. ARR! This is so frustrating any other ideas ?

Have you tried to adjust the arm on the carb. there is a small hex that can be loosened and you can adjust it like that.</p>

Will try to post pics later. Haven't tried arm hex yet but doubt will help as it was fine before I tried to reset idle screw. I can sew the idle screw moves the idle pin in and out but the carb will still stops at the same point no matter where the idle needle is. Maybe tomorrow before I can post pics as got test today

It sounds like you may have cranked down on the low speed needle instead of the idle adj. screw? Just a thought.
