Hi,
Wondering if anyone has seen or flown Flair's Magpie 50 ARF... If so, I'd be interested to know what you think.

Thanks

Good call.
Flair in the UK and CMPro in Australia are the same planes.
The Magpie is the little brother to the "Lark" which is the little brother to the "Swallow". I own the Magpie and the Swallow.
The Magpie is a mini F3A type plane. It is exceptionally directional, fast yet smooth. I would not suggest this plane for the rank beginner, or even as a second plane. It goes where you point it!!
ie: If you point it at the ground or at a tree, thats where it will end up. Check out www.rojshobbies.com i know he has them and his prices are good. His back-up service par excellence...
Hope this helps you some

Thanks for the info, Cattle_Prod. I've ordered my Magpie.... should be here early next week. Any advice you can offer on assembly & setup would be much appreciated.
I've gone for an OS50SX.... d'ya reckon that'll have enough grunt for good vertical without a tuned-pipe?

The 50sx is a great power plant.. Hope you didn't pay too much for it. Rojs hobbies duz 'em for $269.00 AUD !!! Put a bit more right thrust in it than normal. F/Glass in and around the firewall. Put your wing together with plenty of 12 minute epoxy.
