World Models EP Warbirds
World Models EP Warbirds.
These are rare in the fact that they have retracts. When I crash my Great Planes Spitfire, I will select one of these to convert for my Saito .40:
http://airborne-models.com/html/prod...?ProductID=140
http://airborne-models.com/html/prod...?ProductID=139
http://airborne-models.com/html/prod...?ProductID=124
Has anyone considered converting these?
As a bonus you get a free brushless motor to power an air-boat or something.

RE: World Models EP Warbirds
I presume one would have to install a plywood firewall, but that is par for all electric-to-glow conversions that I've done so far.
I do like the fact that most electric planes have hatches. I like to see how much fuel I've used, and to hide the on-off switch and charge plug.
I am sure the OS .30 would haul the mail in any of these planes. I figure a 4-stroke .30 is 375 watts of power, or so....
I might buy a used Saito .30 one day. Not much reason for Saito re-release it (not counting the Gold Version), since there's so few planes made for small engines anymore...THUS, this forum!
I presume the covering on these World Model planes can withstand a little bit of glow exhaust....
