dle 30 shutdown
goodday folks
Engines idles nicely on straight and level also climbs and pulls very strong on 45 or vertical however on the downline and pull to horizontal the idle drops off and the engine dies. Any thoughts?

If your fuel level is getting low...in a long down line that may effect the running. Try to duplicate same nose down for a length of time on the ground. You will need a helper. Capt,n

I had the same problem with an extra. Turned out that cowl pressure was to great on the down lines. You can rule out this very easy by venting the metering side of the carb outside of the plane.

RE: dle 30 shutdown
Thanks for all the responces and it seems that i need to expound, the engine is fitted to a GaintBig Stik 80" wing span got the rear carb conversion with all of the engine exposed the tank is420cc and full or at half it occurs the klunk is secured and 1/4" from the bottom of the tank. Capt ill have to try your suggestion and let youknow what happens.
BTWi checked the plug and it seems to be running rich on the ground my trasitionsfrom idle to WOTare smooth as silk without hesitation or burble but in the air it burbles at between 1/2 and 1/4 throttle but at idle or fullits good.
ANYthoughts?
