Default Thrust Vector Hotspot upgrade

High Alpha....

Threw the P160 on the 'ol TV hotspot and OH MY GOOOOOD!

The throttle response is damn close to a 2 stroke glow and the T/W on the hotspot makes for lotsa fun. Never got her over 170mph but had some fun with the RAW power:

Hard to control all that power in the departed flight, but it'll be fun trying.

Default COOL!

I tried a couple of takeoffs like that in the Rookie (P-160) with vectoring, high pucker factor but you are a very manly man, so I am sure no brown stains for you!

Glad you like the motor!

Default Holy cow!

That takeoff was nuts! I've seen Goldberg Piper Cubs that needed more ground roll.

Can you show us pictures of the thrust vectoring system, or is this simply a plate being rotated behind the exhaust cone to direct the flow up or down?

Thx,
Kelly

Swweeeeeet!! That has got to be the shortest takeoff roll I have ever seen (with a jet)!!!!

Is the CG at the recommended location or have you pushed it forward?

Default Balance

Yes, I learned that the hard way! I have the cg around 5" measured down the leading edge of the wing from the root.

The nose will always drop on its own to regain flight after departed.

Nice short take off Joe. I bet your knee was shaking when you doing. Anyways, last weeken was nice. I wish it wasn't that hot. You and Col Tomb did a great formation flight.
Hope to see you and the rest of southern Ca gangs soon.

I am getting a P200 next week. I think you need more power!
