Sirio .18 engine, Fantom .18, or Wasp .18 engine for the T-MAXX?
I want to buy a new engine for my 2.5 T-MAXX, but which one is better? What do you guys think about each engine? How do they run? Does anyone have the Fantom .18, or Wasp .18 engine yet? How do they run, are they easy to tune? What about you guys that have the Sirio .18 engine, how does it run? I've heard that it's hard to tune, is it true?

I emailed Fantom asking them what is there HP, and RPM rating on there new .18 engine, and where I could buy it and this is what they told me:
Thank you for your interest in Fantom engines.
Regarding your questions:
1) Horsepower = 1.95
2) RPM = 41,250
3) Purchase from your local dealer, www.stormerhobbies.com or www.sheldonshobbies.com
4) Part number = F01024
Thanks again,
Jeff
Fantom Racing
I also asked them how much it would be for a new piston and sleeve and they said about $35. I also asked them If there engine was stronger then the Sirio .18 engine and they said that from there testing it was. I'm definitely going to buy this engine, it's cheaper then the Sirio .18 and all the replacement parts are a Lot Cheaper!

fantom has never really lied about what any of there engines can do, of course they are going to say theres is stronger than sirio, they are advertising there brnad. I'd like to see RCCA do a shoot out of 2 stock tmaxxes or = in upgrades with these 2 engines in them, or all 4 for that matter.

I bought the EPIC .18 engine for my Terra Crusher and the engine KICKS *****!! I have had it for a week know and it is very easy to tune and keep running. It out runs my friends Terra Crusher with a .15 CV-RX engine with no problem, and my other friends Terra Crusher with a Fantom 03 .15 engine. It also keeps up pretty well with my other friend Terra Crusher with an OFAN Hyper .21 engine. The cheapest place to buy it is: https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...t.pl?pn=EP1800 or https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...t.pl?pn=EP1801 I bought the one with the rotary carb.

Wow, I'm already happy with an XTM .18 with a claimed 1.25 HP and I'm seeing all these other .18's with close to .21 type horsepower! And 41K rpm from an .18? Must be a short stroke engine.

I cant decide on what .18 to get... there are so many out now and i cant find stats for a few of them. I cant find any for the Team Orion line, or the Epics... I dont want a sirio or fantom because they are a tmaxx drop in, and that requires about another 100$ of parts for the terra crusher. What do you suggest in the .18 size kuma?
