If it's roughly 7 bills to bring it back to life - I would keep it stock also; DRAMATICALLY increases it's re-sell value once you there also.

I'm wondering John - what's the longest you've seen a turbine last with only bearing replacements and without dbearing replacements?

I wish it was only 7 bills to bring it back to life!!!! It's around 700 for the turbine and another 900 in other equipment for a total of around $1600... 700 sounds great!!!!!!

For longest running turbine info go to the JetCat US website. Big Rick had a p70 that went for EVER ( about 140hrs I think) without ever being touched-no check ups nothing just hundreds and hundreds of flights.
The full info is on the website. In my opinion a JetCat will outlast the airframe (or untill you we kill it) 95% of the time. Scott
Jon, 700 for the can repair is a good price. Look around for used parts for an install kit. You should be able to pick up a used ECU for about $250 (if you can find one, they are out there) It can be any ECU, just have it flashed for a 120 afterwards. New pump is 160, solenoids are aabout 80 or so.Hopefully it didnt hit hard enough to kill the GSU

You're right, I could probably save a little by picking up the components used... Although, as someone pointed out (unless I save a lot of $ on used), it wont be worth much with second hand components []

That thing hit so hard it made my teeth rattle!!!!

As I stated above my best guess woudl be $700 in parts plus the cost of labor. Labor rates were $75.00 per hour when I was at JetCat and I doubt they have come down. I would guess around 3 - 4 hours of labor for the repair, but this could be off by an hour either way. So figure $1000 for the motor (parts plus 4 hours labor) and then another $850 for the install kit. Still not a bad deal compared to $3295 for a new one.
