Yes. Even though the trim tab setting was flush and level with the hull it was causing the problem. I could race it as is without tabs but the next step is to try new tabs angled up a little more and I could probably angle the drive down now. Ran out of time to try everything yesterday.

build it,plant it,build it,plant it,BUILD IT.....,thanks Gary, the "fix" makes ALOT of sense...just goes to show that after countless, numerous builds, each boat has it's own inherant traits...and we sometimes fall victim to our own standard practices.....[:-],(raise\remove the trim tabs....duuuuhhhh) ,while I thought this thread was going to turn into another "splashed hull bash fest",I believe it has provided ALL of us a deeper insight as to how we approach a build-up,resolve a problem, and overcome an "unfixable" issue....[:-]

thanks mart, right now my hull is bare, gettin the plant out of it and proceeding with the build,Funny thing though,my buddy has the yellow shockwave that does\handles exactly the same way(ploughing effect),I'm going to get him to remove his tabs and see if that cures his problem......[:-]

splashed hulls have been going for thousands of years, each one got a little changed along the way , Noah didn`t design that Ark out of his head, he used ideas from his local coracle builders and mixed it about with plans from his local canoe and raft builders , and thought it might rain for a while so he chucked a roof on to keep him and his dinner/pets dry , it was about his 8th build before it handled like an ark should, he didnt get many complaint from other designers , but i guess they didnt have patents or copy rights either and there was no mention of any hook to the hull[8D]

mopartybob that splashed hull would look a whole lot better with a dummy steam engine sticking through the roof

why dont u make make your own spissgetti why u have the rolller out try to flatern and tidy the the bottom of your hull with it so u may have less hook maybe insted of ply u could use it spissgetti.as for the name forabuck he should be called captian hook!

(Gary iam still waiting for a reply to my questions above u seem to have missed them )
