carf/skygate HAWK
I was wondering if the carf/skygate hawks are out in the market? Anyone flying a prepainted version? Is the quality still "german"? With carf, you cannot go wrong but since this is a newly tooled kit I thought its good to check before going ahead with one. I am keen to get one in the swiss scheme.

RE: carf/skygate HAWK
Hi Anurag,
Production has started and the new molds and CARF engineering has seen lots of improvements to the fit and finish and general improvements. New molds mean the details are nice once again, I think the SG molds were getting a little worn.
Early discussions mootrd pre-painted versions not being as scale etc as the all white kit. To clarify, there are no differences. The pre-painted versions will have a visible seam (as with all composite models) so would not fair as well in competition as an all painted white version. However, a little touch up paint and a few hours can see the seams vanish if needed and then you're looking at a competition ready model in an incredibly short time span!!!
There were many who paid the deposit and they will be honoured first obviously so there will be a bit of a wait before you were to see your kit.
Let me know if you need any more info.

RE: carf/skygate HAWK
How soon can we have the exact pricing info including scale options etc? What level of prefab can be expected? Are the ailerons and flaps hinged? Rudder? As compared to the skygate build stages, what stage of build can we assume this to be in? Will the completeness of the package be as other carf kits? Are these really going to be ARF's?
