3W twin 80 cc
I got one this weekend that is about 5 years old and is well broken in, what oil should I use and what ratio. Will it hurt it to run on the same mix that I use in my DA, which is Amsoil 100:1.

I think you will find 3W recommends 50:1 Penzoil or something similar.
As far as the Amsoil at 100:1 You are going to get mixed responses... personally I say don't do it.

color me oldfashioned, I would use as much oil as the oil manufacturer would allow me.
I know there are oils that require an 1:80 mix, but I do not feel happy about the engine's "dry feel" afterwards. I like my engines to have a well oiled feel. That is what 2% and 3% oil mixes provide. Leaner than 2% is savings going the wrong direction.

I have one I have been running for over 7 years, and it gets stronger and stronger each time I fly. I use Amsoil 50 to 1, and it works great. I am using a 26-10 Mens prop and it almost isn't enough. I could probably go to a 27-10 prop. This engine is truly a gem.
