Default How does the TA-02 compare to the TA-03?

Iknow the TA-02 is shaft-driven, and the TA-03 belt-driven, but other than that, I don't know enough about these 2 chasses to know what the (dis)advantages of each are. Is one form generally preferred over the other? My only experience with RC cars is aTT-01and an E-Savage. Cananybody clue me in? Thanks

They are ok but completely eclipsed by the TA-05.  Any reason you're looking at two older chassis like them?

There area couple kits that only come with these 2 chasses.

I'd suggest a better chassis then find the body separately. Don't get an old chassis and limit yourself fora $25 body. That's like putting a Ferrari body on a Cavalier.

depends what you want the car for... if its drifting then the TA-03 will not be eclipsed by a TA-05..

The body I want (Porsche 911 993 generation) is not available anywhere else I've seen. That's actually my dream car now, something I hope to eventually get. I'll settle for the RC model for now. It'll probably be somewhat of a shelf queen, but I'll take it out for play sometimes.

Is the TA-03 considered a superior chassis to the TA-02?

i think it is better, purely because i prefer belt drives, plus the TA-03 chassis has more hop ups and also comes in four chassis layouts... bear in mind that the short chassis can be hard to get bodies for..

the car in my sig is a TA-03R S TRF, there's a build thread if your interested.

front engine, standard length
rear engine, standard length
front engine, short length
rear engine, short length
