Is it obligatory to program Hitec digital servo ?
Can I have good performance without programming ? (I have enought channel on the RX for all the servos)
Thanks for help.

NO....it is not mandatory... The programmer can help you do many things....but is not mandatory. It can reverse servos.. enhance the deadband, Slow the servo down etc etc.
Think of it like this. To change a tire on a car you have to a wrench of some sort. (wrench=servo) But it SURE WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE AN IMPACT WRENCH ON A COMPRESSOR to change that tire (Impact wrench= programmer)
I know it is a cheesy comparison. BUT IT DOES THE JOB

RE: HITEC programmable digital servo
anthony_saez,
It depends how you are using them. If you have multiple servos on one surface or need to change the servo direction you will need to program them unless you have enough spare channels to program through the radio. For single applications they are supposed to be usable right out of the box but I've found that not all of them are factory set at the same deadband width. I also like to re-program all of them a little less than their full travel potential so there's no chance of over driving them. Some people had this problem (locking up at full travel) with the early versions.

Ok,
normally it's ok, I gonna buy probably four 5945 (2 for ailerons, 2 for elevator) and one 5735 for the rudder, I hope the factory set will be good with the recent version.
Thanks.
