Ya it was great! 12 flights on my new flash. Couple of bomb runs with my dads jet. George M. won the bomb trophy with a beautifully decked out composite Reaction. S. Patel(?) came down with his SkyMaster Viperjet. His son flew it well. Lots of electric jets including this dazzling Sapac L-39 w/ a 70 mm screaming fan . One unfortunate crash on take-off. Good to see the Fresno crew again. The field looked great. Good spectator turnout. Didn't stay for the Sat. dinner. Hope to see everyone return next year.

I hadn't seen any promotion or reminders about Fresno Jets and am just wondering why that is?
This has always been a popular event. Was it kept low key purposely?
Hope it went well. Enjoyed my several visits to the Ave. 12 site. Great facility.

George & I stopped at a Mom & Pop store on Blackstone Ave. Fri. am, George with a Futaba shirt & me with an LA Jets shirt. The checkout guy asked if we were with the jet show. So the people in town knew about it. I mentioned to a couple club members that it looked like they advertised to the media but that they apparently didn't advertise to the jet community since there wasn't anything on RCU. They said there was a flyer on their web site but that's about the last place many of us look.
Flight line was wide open the entire time and a couple folks ran out of fuel. George & I dropped bombs pretty much whenever we felt like it, which usually isn't possible. I lent Ken a tire to keep his Flash flying otherwise I could easily have doubled my flying time.

Wow...13 registered pilots. Made me feel sad reading that. That's got to be a record...probably even lower than the first annual event.
Note to next years organizers. Having the event in the long list in the "USA Jet Events" thread in this Jet forum isn't going to do the job.
Sounds like the spectator attendance was great and the concessions sold out every day. So they must know how to get the word out.
I'd suggest a dedicated thread here next time:-)

Not true. All were welcome. Craig Roberts was the CD this year (Mark was out of the state racing and I was home with a bad concussion). We did attend on Saturday and were surprised that all you clowns weren't there! Geez, after fifteen years you guys seriously think you needed an invitation?! The sad part was, Chili's restaurant boarded up their windows for nothing ...
It was a lot like Sin City Jets... low key and lots of flying time. I'll tell Craig to post a flyer on here next year so you don't forget.
There was a thread started but it was a while back. I forgot my damn camera... maybe someone else got some pics.

Surely you must have smelled the jet exhaust wafting your way Billy? Your slippin Man! Hope to see you next year.

Looks to me like they didn't want to have certain people show up.[X(]
Also better odds for winning those give-aways

Certain people???? Say it ain't so.... I tried to rally up a thread but it got swept under the carpet.[8D]
Trifecta raffle winning... Ha Ha ,,, I remember that.. Kinda like Tim Donaghy and the Phoenix Suns..[X(]
