best car/truck?
hey, I haven't posted here for a while. Anyway, I got an e-maxx about 6 or 7 weeks ago and have dumped over $600 into it and have run it for less than 1 hour. Not to mention the frusteration it has caused me. I am thinking seriously about getting rid of it.
As a replacement for it, I am looking mainly at nitro, but electric is a possibility because I bought two GP3300 matched packs for my e-maxx that I would hate to sell because those had their share of frusteration getting here. Some possible cantidates:
HPI Nitro RS4 MT
Team Associated B4
Team Associated RC10GT
Team Associated RC10 T3
Team Losi XXX NT
HPI Super Nitro RS4 Rally
Tamiya TerraCrusher
HPI Savage SS
Can't think of anything else for right now.
I have a Tamiya TA-03 That I am very pleased with and have had for about a year. I am also looking at off-road trucks or buggies or rally cars.
I was wondering:
What is parts availability like on these cars? (I know tamiya is bad)
Are there enough good hopups to spend over $1000 on?
How good is these cars durability?
Speed?
Handling?
Anything?
My maxx burnt it's last motor yesterday so I am just starting to look. Thanks for your help!

for that kind of money I'll go for competition touring car...
serpent 705, mugen mtx3, kyosho voner, NTC3,....
and really powerful engine from either novarossi or rb
the 2 GP3300 can be used as starter box bat
off road wise... kyosho MP7.5 + RB C5
better still.. mugen MRX3, Serpent 905 or SMP Slide + novarossi, rb, jp or colari engine
any of those arte seriously good, durable, fast and bes still.. no upgrade needed

I just want something that comes with ball bearings and oil shocks. I don't have $1000 right now. I just don't want to get bored with it because it is fully hopped up. hopping up is one of the most fun parts of R/C. My tamiya is fully hopped up so I got the e-maxx.
BTW, I decieded that I'll give the e-maxx another try. If it lasts 5 more runs without breaking, I'll keep it.

If I got one it would definitely be a kit. I might just keep my maxx though. Ever seen a E-maxx that is almost completely stock go 40mph??? Without brushless??? It is very cool.
