Toki Ducty JetCat P-20 Video..
Just back from the field test flying Colin Gontier's latest P-20 "Nano Jet" After the ViperJet last weekend it didn't take much to persuade him that my/his old Ducty would make a good P-20 winter toy!
Works really well, amazing speed range, great really slow! It's a fun fly model!! Too foggy today for full envelope and video, maybe over weekend.

After deciding I wasn't going to play Viperjets anymore after last weekend, I had a look round for something I could strap a P20 to and get flying quickly. The ole Ducty was dusted down and rebuilt with a turbine hanging out the back!
It looks really dorky in the pics but it is cool fun to fly. Bags more power than the old ducted fan, it's just a shame it started off foggy today and only got worse so only 3 flights today all at very low level to keep under the fog! Cheers for the test flight Dave
Hopefully get some more flights this weekend and then on to my next P20 project

Here's a video I took today. Sadly I was holding the camera on this one and Dave was flying [
] but after I wrestled my own transmitter back I had a blast with it. As you can see the cloudbase was a bit higher today and we could see the thing which made it so much easier! This is by a very very long shot the easiest turbine model I have flown and its just .... fun!

Where is the ECU, Receiver etc located, and I guess there is no header tank.
One of these slightly bigger would be good for a 44 gold

The mini MAP header is in the front end of the fus along with all the other gear. The wing has a boxed "spar" coming out of the front to put all the gear and nose leg on. The fibreglass bit slips over the whole lot. Another very tight installation but more than do-able.
I really like the fact that jetcat have miniaturised all the turbine ancillaries for the P20.

That flight was not a complete tank, we calculate 8 1/2-9 minutes possible. Some of our group are looking at another with E Flight electric retracts fitted.
Colin means a box "pod" which he installed all the accessories. It's a perfect platform for the P-20. I still want to fettle the set up (radio) as it's not 100% balanced yet.

Have elected not to proceed with the Bobcat 25 as it would have required ALOT of modification to rectify the defects in it to make it a viable model for turbine power. It was not of the same quality of the other kits i have seen. The Ducty, although Fugly really does look to perform well!
