I have seen poeple do it with for instance a t maxx, but in my opinion by the time you spend the money to do such a transformation
you could have easily bought a decent buggy or truggy . i am not saying you could have bought a top of the line truggy or buggy
cause you could spend half a fortune on a race oriented rig that that. there are well performing lower priced truggy's / buggy's
out there is what i am saying !

if your cheap, you might get away with smaller shocks and tightining down the arm stops.

Or get a used roller off ebay
Around april or so I got a Jammin X1x CRT for $100 which was in decent shape. Just had to get rims (had tires already), a body, and a motor if I was keeping it nitro. Made it brushless so it needed some extra parts. But if I kept it nitro it would have been cheap, and decent.

But ya I agree seen people do it with a savage, in the end I figured they spent about as much as a Jammin X2 would cost new.
