MGT 4.6 used good price or not
Guys I need some help. I'm new to this nitro world and christmas is appraching fast. Iwas wondering is 180 is a good price for a MGT4.6 nitro truck that is about 2 years old. I have been told the thing is in great shape only maybe used 20 times or so,
Let me know what you guys think. Also If you know a better deal for a beginner please let me know. Iam looking at this for my 13 year old son.
Thanks

Thanks. Your the only person online I can seem to get a yes or no answer out of. I mean dont think the kid is lying. Be gave me the name of the place that last serviced it. I'm going to call them up and see if they remember the rc.

I didnt think it was too bad with my .28 in mine. check your other thread, I replied there. basically drive cup pins and a arm mounts are what I know to look for. havent had mine in about 2 years though so thats all I remember about.
this is the stock engine. wasnt shifting though, and I never got a successful front flip, my brakes werent grabbing hard enough I dont think, but it wil show you its pretty durable.

i got the mgt with a 4.6 trans and came with a .21.
it was dirty and missing things.
above all else make sure it runs decent for at least 10 minutes and that when you roll it, the bearings shouldn't squeel.
other than that i think 180 is a good deal if she's in good shape.
all in all i like it and it's probably taken about 200$ to get her back into shape.

I ended up passing. I'm pretty stingy with cash. I think I might get a new mgt 3.0 for a little more. They seem to be going for 229 - 239.
Anyone know of a better deal on a 3.0 or 4.6?
