20% nitro and the stock shims are fine. If you want more power out of it, get a better exhaust system.

What pipe you select depends on a ton of factors. Some pipes give you tons of low-end, some midrange, some high-end, some can do a little of everything, and still others just kill the power across the board. I couldn't name you a specific pipe to use.

But most stock pipes suck power wise, and they don't sound as good.

I would advise you not tempt your luck with a 3.3 on that stuff. IF you're going to start putting 30% and 40% in the tank, go to a stronger engine. If you insist on it, though, you will need to:

Fit the Davis Diesel aftermarket conrod. 2.5s and 3.3s have a weak rod that likes to snap on 20%. Twice that on the stock rod is BEGGING for your engine to do an impersonation of a grenade. Here's a link to it: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXVHW4&P=Z

You will need to shim the head considerably.

You will need a colder glow plug.

You will need to fit a better exhaust system.

If it were me, I'd run it on 20-25% nitro (I run 25% on MC59 plugs and havent had a single problem with the 2.5r's or 3.3's I've had) with a good pipe. THS, Buku, and CVEC come to mind. The Resonator made good power down low, but there are better options for the money IMO. I have a CVEC in the rustler - I'll probably get a THS or Buku for the Jato I have.
