Default 3 blade prop position?

Hi Guys, I just bought a 26x10 3 blade in an attempt to quiet things down a bit. On my 2 blade props I have the tips at about 2 and 8 Oclock. Where are the tips on the three blade? I think I would want one of the tips to be at the 2 Oclock position.

Default Got it first guess!!!

Dave, paint one blade tip with a different/contrasting color so that it is easily recognizable, and align it in the same position you are used to doign for a 2-bladed prop. That way, you grab the RIGHT blade every time you go to start the engine.

Default 3 blade prop

Kris^ is right in that you should put the "starting" blade to be flipped in the vertical position. On my Fuchs prop, there is a logo on one blade, and that is the one I put vertical to start. I personally favor putting it at 12 o'clock, but in your case it would be 2 o'clock. If there is no logo or other identifiable mark, just put something to mark the desired blade. It could be at the tip or the base, just so you know where or what it is.
