OMP 540 Help
The instructions say for a fuel tank 4 or 6oz. I don't think thats very big. Could I go bigger and what size? Also where is the best spot to mount my engine without knowing where it balances now. I was going to drill the hole before I cover the fuselage and assemble it. And do you guys think that if i don't trust the strength of the elevator I have should I rebuild? I just don't think its going to hold up in the tight loops.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have an 8oz on mine, but it's mounted in the wing and I had to make some internal mods to get it in there. 6oz will fly for a good little while, you wouldn't want a lot of fuel hanging off the front.
Just tape your engine on to balance. The engine and battery are about the only 2 things to move to balance it, so I'd get it pretty close with the engine and fine tune with the battery.
The elevator is fine...if it wasn't you'd hear all the "my elevator failed" comments here. I've seen these things do 3D that is almost without equal, and no failure.

OMP 540 Help
6 oz tank on my omp, I think it's plenty big enough.
I've only had 1 problem with my elev, I let someone else fly my plane and when taxi'n back in the tall grass he had full elev pulled and one of the counter balancers caught and broke, the tail skid is bent pretty low so I guess it's kinda my fault. I did a field repair and tossoed it back into hover. Other than that it with handle high speed walls and blenders with no problems.
