I picked up a used FPE 4.2 that I have a question about. One side of the engine is stamped 4.2 but on the other side near the bottom of the cylinder there's an 80 stamped.
Can anyone tell me what the 80 means?

Possibly the serial number?

The 4.2 is 68cc so it has nothing to do with the size of the engine

There was a Walbro SDC 80 carb used on some of the larger FPE engines.

I was mistaken, the 80 isn't stamped on the cylinder it's stamped on the crank case near where the cylinder bolts on the case.
Maybe I'll try to give FPE a call and see if they have any info about it.

I called FPE today and they told me the number is the engine serial number.
