Default CH "Sybchro Spark" Question

I have a CH Synchro Spark ignition and since CH is no longer I need some help. I notice that there is a wire going to the hall sensor, a wire to the ON/OFF switch and of course the coil wire to the plug. BUT, I don't see a wire for a ground. Is there suppose to be one? There is a slotted head screw on the side of the box but it doesn't look like a ground wire was ever connected there.

Thanks!

They were grounded at the base of the spark plug either by a metal shielded cap or a piece of wire braid under a screw or with a hose clamp

Read around on here. You will find that CH ignitions are still being made.

Does your C&H Ignition have a metal spark plug cover? If it does then that is the ground for the ignition system. If it does not it should have a ground braid exiting from the spark plug wire befor the spark plug boot.It may be broken off at the plug lead.
