Hi Dr. Ke,
What's your C.G on your Alpha jet? I have move the C.G by at least 2.5cm back to get the plane to land really slow. What's your C.G setting on the MIG29? For all the kits I have tested, they all seem nose heavy for jets. I have moved c.g back by at least 1.5cm to 3cm on many jets. They all fly much better and land a lot slower because you can hold the nose up to slow down. Contrary to prop planes, jets love to have more tail heavy settings, at least from the computational data we got.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Mike

RE: Reports from China:JL su-27 power by two JL T12 turbines (video)
Hi Dr, Ke,
I think that jets are easier to fly and to land when the C.G. is set properly. The factory C.G setting is too nose heavy and it will make beginners of jets difficult to land safety. Jets, with thrust location in the aft section and high speed wing configuration, will be safer if the c.g is moved back from the factory setting. My F-15 was so nose heavy at factory setting and it will land very fast and the nose will bounce up and down. I thought that was my poor skills until the C.G. was moved back. It then flew and landed like a trainer jet or slow pro plane. I really think that factory should all adjust the C.G. properly and don't just rely on the computational method to calculate the c.g locations. There are enough experimental results from all the pilots that they can collect from RCU and other forums.
Your MIG looks great. Hope to fly with you sometime when I am in China again. Mike

Hello Dr. Ke
Please give me a little more information on your JL Mig29.
1. What engine or engines are you running?
2. How are the gear, are they stock or did you need much attention and change things.
3. What is over all weight with out fuel
4. She looks like she flys great but would love to hear how you like the jet??
Thanks
Kevin

Hi,Mike,
Your point of view also is reasonable.
But the key is to persuade Mr YangZiCheng.
