adjusting starter boxes
the doughnut (rubber wheel) is only gonna spin as fast as the motor turning it. Which box did u buy? are you using nicad stick packs, a small 12v, or a car battery to power it?

adjusting starter boxes
I have not seen too many that have any way of adjusting the spin speed of the motor, as most are just direct connections to the battery when engaged.
As for battery choice, use the 12V battery that goes inside the starter box, as they will last longer and provide more consistent use.
If you are trying to start a new engine, you may just need to open the throttle a little while trying to spin the motor on the box. I found that if I leave my throttle closed to the idle speed setting, then I cannot turn the motor over sometimes, too much compression and little airflow.
Let us know which OFNA box you have, and what type of problem you are experiencing to want to speed up the motor.
