I'm an electric NOOB, but.......
I tried looking for the specs for that charger, I couldn't find them. If it's anything close to the 960 at Horizon, it's not very fast. If you are looking to really fast charge lipos, save your money and get a Hyperion Super Duo HP-EOS720iDUO3. I just got one, and on the 12v power supply I can balance charge 2 3s 6000Mah Lipos in about 20 minutes. It depends on your c charge rating, but to me, that's fast....but expensive....about $360 with the 12v power supply.

There is the the DuraTrax Onyx 245 AC/DC Dual Charger with LiPo Balancing: http://www.rcboca.com/duratrax-onyx-...AID=1057901111
It's slow, but it will get the job done. dual charging 2 3s 6000 Mah packs @ the rated 3amp max (or 5 amp for one pack) should take about 1-1/2 to 2 hours. (I think) someone correct me if I'm wrong.

There's probably other chargers out there, some of the other experienced people might know.

I am not sure of the exact specs but i know my charger has two charging ports that each charge at 5amps so a total of 10 and can discharge at 4 amps it also can charge up to 3s lipo but it had no balancer so i bought an external one. The batteries i have now can charge up to a 8C rate and there 5000mah so i think i am only charging at 1C when charging each battery at 5amps.

23 BUCKS EACH!!!! man that is cheap. I thought the thunder ac6 was cheap but that blows it out of the water. I might have to get one or two of those myself.

EDIT
While staring at the price like a kangaroo looking into headlights I failed to notice it is DC only, I might still get them but I'll have to get a power supply as well.

I guess the best thing you can do is hold off of buying a charger and weigh the features and cost on a whole bunch of chargers. For instance, I've found some really bad reviews on imax chargers because the balance is highly inaccurate and will kill a battery fairly quick. If you have $20 batteries, the cost difference may be worth it to just buy more batteries. If you have the more expensive HK batteries (or whatever) @ $90 each, you may want to spring for a better charger:

I did find this on Watt flier forums:

There is a factory making circuit boards for chargers, and letting firms order their own custom cases and labels for them.

You'll find a LOT of different chargers with the same guts. In this case, it's the four buttons, 2x16 display, and the distinctive software that gives it away. The Dynam Supermate is the same as all of these chargers:

Turnigy Accucel-6
Loong Max E6
iMax B6
GT power A-6
iCharger iC6
Bantam BC6
Sky Charger B6
Battman B6
Venom Pro Charger
Dynam Supermate DC6

The major difference is whether they have the ac-dc converter built in, and if they have a fan.

I have the Turnigy Accucel-6 version, and I highly recommend it. Like all these chargers, it does have the storage function, and everything else you can imagine.
You just have to take all information, cross it with your needs and your pocketbook and make your own decision.

Let us know what you come up with.

Yea i was looking at all thoes chargers but most of them only charge at either 5 or 10 amps my charger charges 2 batteries at 5 amps each which is 10 amps basically the only difference i see is there are more programing features. I want to be able to fast charge my 5000mah lipos at a higher rate of 1c.

I don't think you're going to get a charger and a power supply that does all that for under 100 bucks.

Have a look at these.

3s x 40 amps = FMA powerlab , but it isn't $100.

Getting close to that at minimum cost is a 20 amp and 400 watt charger for $80 (bring your own ps)

You wanted a setup that didn't cost $100. If you want something that will charge above 2c, be prepared to increase your budget. A good charger capable of that rate will be in the $100 range. Then getting a power supply capable of supporting it will be $50-$100+. (Although you can go cheaper if you're willing to homebrew your own PSU with a server power supply or something like that).

But, for most batteries, the recommended charging rate is 1C anyway, so it may not necessarily be the way you want to go anyway. I have a couple of batteries that are rated for 2C charging, but I still charge at 1C rate. It extends the life of the batteries.

That's why I included that power supply in my post. You can run two of them off of the G350 power supply. It's a pretty decent setup for $85-$90. I can balance charge my (2) 8200 mAh's from LVC in about an hour. If I'm charging from storage voltage it's about 30 minutes.

How dare he spill a beer on your charger, waste of beer. The Thunder AC6 that Pyro first mentioned is a good cheap charger that will plug into a wall, the link is up there somewhere^^. I always balance my lipos, sometimes it takes a little longer but not often.

It's not necessary to do it every time you charge, but it is necessary. If you don't balance charge every time, you definitely need to check the individual cell voltages frequently. I balance charge every time, just to keep it simple.

If you have the MRC 977 then perhaps the old LBA-6 or the equinox would work fine. There are some chinese ones too from HK that'll work fine up to 3 amps.

I can't remember what you've said in the past...did you buy a LiPo capable charger? If so, there should be a balance charge mode in the menu.

But for the same money, you can get a LiPo charger with balance mode, storage mode, etc.

Just an FYI on charging times. I have [link=http://www.maxamps.com/EOS0720i-DUO3.htm]THIS[/link] charger and I balance charged two [link=http://www.hobbypartz.com/77p-sl4400-3s1p-40c-3333.html]Sky Lipo 4400mAh 11.1V 40C[/link] in 40 minutes @ 8amps, and the batteries didn't even get warm.

I think the Hyperion chargers are definitely worth the money.

It's not the charger that determines weather you can charge at 8amps or not it's the c rating of the batteries. I charge at 1c regardless of the batteries c rating to ensure the long life of the batteries.
