upgrading stampede xl-1 and need help
I want to upgrade my straxxas stampede xl-1. It currently has the stinger motor and I was thinkin of getting either the titen 775 or 550 motor for it to make it faster but I am not sure if those motors will even fit in it. Any thoughts? Thank You.

i think the voltage of the xl1 is too low for the 775 or the standard 550, The 12T 550 uses less voltage but you would need to check specs to see if it would work.

there are few places i go to find the best deals
www.amazon.com <- very good prices
rcboats.deelfinders.com <- (use the search on thier site) funny name but they search and post all the best deals available every day
www.ebay.com <- good place to start and see whats available.
then you should always visit the sponsers and support the forum!

You mentioned that NiMh batterys dont have enough power for a brushless system? I have a team assosiated b4 with a novak 5500kv system and I am running it off a 5000 NiMh battery is that bad or is it just making it go a lot slower?

It would be lacking torque and yes a lipo would make it faster...
There is no way that battery could supply the amount that system can draw, if u were to overgear it, u would burn/melt the battery untill it fails

Well I checked the amount of volts that I could have for the esc that I have and it says the the max volts that I can have is 1.2volts/cell for 4-7 cells and no lipo batterys that I saw fit in that catagory (http://www.teamnovak.com/products/es...ssplus_esc.htm).

lets do the maths... 1.2x7=8.4v, so that means the max volts u can pump in is 8.4v
A 2s 7.4v lipo when fully charged is 8.4v.... So like the manual clearly says, it can handle a 2s lipo.
here is the funny part..... it states its ok with a 7cell nimh right...
well when those 8.4v 7 cell packs are fully charged thay should be 9.87v thats 1.41v per cell when fully charged
