You can mount the engine any way you wish, but some ways are worse than others.
I wouldn't want to mount this one inverted, I'd worry about oiling the cam and followers with them all on top. And if the oil gets there and past the followers I'd worry about it pooling in the rocker boxes.
And worst of all, with the carb and exhaust ports on top it will be very easy to get a slug of liquid fuel into a cylinder, have a hydraulic lock, then when you apply the starter there's a rod broken. Or more.
Best just to leave the engine in its normal position, and be sure all your crashes are from inverted flight.
