F15 Brake ORing Replacement ...

Default F15 Brake ORing Replacement ...

The breaks on my PA F15 are very tired and hardly work at all ... Ive stripped them out and the orings have a contiuious flat spot on them ... anyone have any ideas where i can get a couple of replacements? Does anybody recognise the make?

The Orings are OD 37mm ID 29mm 4mm thick, or used to be

Are you sure they are not designed that way?

BVM brake o-rings are all flat on the outside edge. I presume they are made that way in order to provide more surface contact between the o-ring (brake lining) and the wheel hub.
Since many manufacturers are building their brake systems with similar designs they very well could have come up with the same idea, or they could have copied them directly.

Kevin,

The flat is not consistant all the way round so I presume not ... From the PA website I can see that they are BVM brake hub with "D" ring so I they may be ... even at 100 PSI they enguage but are very very poor ... with out the wheels on you can see the oring expanding ...

I have email BVM to see if I can obtain a new pair of orings ...

Can anybody else offer any advice?
