2 cars 1 radio? Kit
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if they sold everything needed to run a 2nd car with the same radio as a kit? I see on tower hobbies that you can buy everything seperate, but it seems just as much tio get another cheap 2 channel radio. Is that the only route?
Thanks,
Shane

depends on the radio you are running. if you look on ebay you can pick up an older JR xr3 radio for cheaper. I plan on running 3 rc's on one radio. Basically all you need to do is have a set of crystals for each vehicle, and a reciever for each vehicle. servos can be purchased seperatly. With a radio like the XR3 you can store 3 different model settings which saves you the hassle of resetting up everytime...and now that i have gone with FM i will never go back to AM

Thank you for your reply. It is a Futaba am radio. Really cheap. It came with the receiver, servos and on off switch. At tower I think it was 20.00 for the reciever, 11.00 a piece for the servos, 5.00 for the switch, 5 for the battery holder and 17 for the crystals. I think I paid 50 for the radio. Sounds like that seems like the way to go.
Thanks for your help,
Shane

Futaba 2PL
Heres a new digital Am 2 ch radio that would hold up to 10 cars in its memory you get 2 standard servos and you next car you can buy another reciever doesnt matter who ever makes it and a throttle servo which isnt as important but if you spend 30-50 bucks on you steering servo you'll see a huge difference between that and one of those s3003 futaba servos.
Then you'll have better electronics sure its gonna cost more but what's free in this hobby?

Well maybe there is a difference between European and American radios and frequencies, because I know for sure that here in the beautiful Netherlands, the XR 3 is an AM radio. Now I know, I will never mingle in radio discussions again..
