If you've got a thread going over at URC, bring it up to the forefront as I'm a member there. I'm the one known as Geezer. Usually I use my real name but sometimes I just have to get away under another name.
Check your spark with the plug out but attached to the wire then ground it on the block. Pull the engine over in a dimly lit area. The gap should be around .016".
Let's get the thing running first if you can before getting into the other issues that I see in the shot.

Not sure why they installed a male quick connect on the black coil wire. That usually would have a female with plastic cover to protect it from grounding itself. You do have it ungrounded when you check for spark? You might want to put a piece of shrink wrap over that terminal.

... or just cut the the thing off if you're not going to use it. The wire could be hitting against the aluminum hull.
Hopefully you're gong to replace those bolts that you've got holding the engine in place with isolators and that's going to be a buzzing electrical problem. There's just something about a sheet-metal boat that scares me.

That clear vinyl line for water lines is a bad choice. You have that one almost on top of the header. One run and the tube will melt itself shut and toast the engine. Get some xtra large silicone nitro fuel tubing.
