Default Why don't 1/8 buggies have slipper clutches

Wouldn't it be easy to put pads around the main spur, almost like a T-Maxx?

Default RE: Why don't 1/8 buggies have slipper clutches

there is no need. the reason a truck has a slipper clutch is two fold: to prevent undo stress on the engine during initial acceleration. And to prevent shock from non spinning tires after a jump.

buggies use such powerful engines, that the initial acceleration factor isnt an issue, and the oil filled center differentials act as a slipper clutch during landings.
