mount crrc 26 at 90 degrees
I am putting a crrc 26 (v1 with standoffs) into a blackhorse glasair 120 and I cant mount it inverted without doing a major hatchet job on the cowl. Is it ok to mount the engine at 90 degrees? If I do so, I will need to extend the pipe on the muffler for it to exit the side of the cowl . Can I extend the pipe by 2 or 3 inches without causing running problems? Thanks

Silicon Tubing might do the trick it can handle 356F or 180C temp. I'm just about to try some on my canisters, as the vary hard white silicon connector leaks even using rtv sealant.....the SS pipe is so slick its hard to get a seal unless the tubing is softer.

Just a thought good luck

right thanks, but does anyone know if the engine can be mounted at 90 degrees or side mounted as I was perhaps incorrectly calling it
