Default HGI Yank Eliminator Help!!!

hi im brand new to this whole r/c gas powered car stuff...well i recently got a used off road HPI Nitro MT .15 car from a friend and instead of a pull starter (it was taken off, i guess due to the fact it was broken) well i have no idea how to use this yank thing...he says put it where the pull starter goes and use a drill but it doesnt fit right through the axles...can anyone provide me some information on how to get it to work...and i mean idiot proof ones so i dont mess up...also what are some good upgrade parts for this car so it goes superfast both on road and off. thanxs for your help

When you pull off the pull starter there is a little shaft that sticks outs. The yank eliminator goes into the drill like a drill bit. You then put the yank eliminator onto the shaft.

The HG only can be used for side mounted engines, unless of course a person wants to remove the upper rod everytime on the MT. I have both a RS4 and MT so if you need any further assistance ask away.

Do those things have a 1 way bearing in them or something along those lines? Does it suck to pull them off once the engine is started?

Yes they have a oneway bearing. It's not tobad to pull them off. I still prefer a bump box over them.

LOL, I wish I knew that it only worked on side mounted motors before I bought mine. I have an HPI RS4 RTR btw.

A little machining and it works now.
