New Motor for my MT4 G3
So the Ripper burnt out a few months ago and the xerun 4274sd burnt out last week with no warning whatsover (always ran in reasonable temps too). I need a new motor, and I need it too last!
I mainly use 4s but I would like to convert to a truggy later on and use 6s with the same motor.
What do you all think about the castle creations 1515 2200kv motor? (the one that comes in a e-revo brushless). I heard lots of horror stories of castle esc but the motors look promising.
Another option is a Tekin T8 Motor (though I wont be able to use the sensored ability with my esc), it costs less than the castle by $15
I was going to get Tenshock but I can;t find a truggy sized motor that doesn't cost $150, and I like how tekin and castle have good warranty, makes me feel safer<br type="_moz" />

The Tekin truggy motors are supposed to be good, but I have no first hand experience.

RE: New Motor for my MT4 G3
The St4 is the same as the mt4 except
-80a esc instead of mt4's 150a esc
-truggy wheels and tires
-truggy shell
-truggy wing and wing assembly instead of wheelie bar
-1mm thinner shock towers
-plastic bodied shocks instead of the mt4 aluminium ones
Thanks foxy, I think I am going to get the castle as it also looks more weatherproof. I plan to use 12t pinion gear
When I convert to truggy, I will get a 6s battery and 3.8 badlands tires (15mm less diameter than stock) and remain stock 12t pinion. This should allow the 2200kv motor to stay cool under 6s power
