Traxxas Funny Car: anyone have one?
Hey all,
Currently, I'm all offroad. But I'm thinking about getting into a little onroad speed run kind of stuff. Just glancing around, I stumbled upon the Traxxas funny car. I like the look, and it has some interesting features. However, I'm a little nervous to get a Traxxas because I've had quality issues with them in the past. Anyone have one or experience with one?

waste of time and money
i have seen 3 people at the lhs buy them
and the same 3 people bring them back to the lhs to sell on consignment after 3 weeks
they get boring fast
if you want a funny car for speed runs
buy the rear pod of a rc10l
as well as the front suspension parts (can get a complete rc10 l off feepay for less than 50$ if you look)
then a long sheet of aluminum (just go of the wheel base of the traxxas to get your size )
add wheels and servos and brushless system to suit
should be able to get a good drag car for under 200$ that way

IMO Traxxas' funny car is more of a novelty than anything else. It's the only RC funny car I know of that has a differential.
