Default Xcalibur Sports Jet

Global Jet Club would be carrying this new sports/trainer jet into the North America Market for Year 2014.

The fuselage and canopy of the Xcalibur are superbly moulded from epoxy/glass, whilst the tailbooms and flying surfaces are constructed from CNC cut balsa and ply, beautifully assembled and then carefully covered with heatshrink film. The wings slide on to a substantial carbon fibre wing tube, being retained with neat moulded clamps, and the tailbooms can also be removed quickly for transport or storage. The Xcalibur is very quick to assemble, with excellent access to the turbine and on-board equipment, making maintenance and reliable operation much simpler. A specially designed fuel tank gives flight times of around the 10 minute mark, depending on the turbine being used and flying style.

• Fully aerobatic
• Perfect for grass flying fields
• Ideal for turbines from 50 to 100 Newton thrust
• Moulded epoxy/glass fuselage and canopy
• Removable nose section for easy access to batteries.
• Lightweight built-up and fully sheeted flying surfaces covered in film
• Moulded wheel wells stop the ingress of grass, small stones or water - protecting the valuable and vulnerable turbine
• Quick and easy assembly/disassembly for transport and storage
• Optional high volume fibreglass fuel tank available
• Super strong carbon fibre wing tube
• Superb flying characteristics
• Optional retract system with trailing link oleos available.
• Sleek aerodynamic design minimises drag allowing higher flying speeds
• Lightweight design and the effective flap enable exceptionally slow approaches and landings

Finally I test flew two Xcaliburs and they fly great the one has a Jet Central Rabbit and mine has a VT-80. I swear that mine with the VT80 is a bit faster but I also think is Lighter. However the one with the Rabbit I was able to go vertical right after takeoff

They will be here very soon. Maybe another two weeks depending on Customs. I did here that there are some issues in the LA ports. I hope that clears up by the time our ship gets there.

Daniel, I've flown the model with a VT 80, Rabbit and Rabbit SP. The 100N turbines will give you straight up climbs from takeoff. You will need a little throttle management during level flight as it will push the limit on speed.
Best of luck!

Thanks, I'm a pattern flyer so throttle management is not a problems....I just don't know if a 80n will be enough for good vertical....been flying since the mid 80's but it's my first turbine plane, so I don't practical reference....

Default Jet Central Lights on Global Xcalibur.

Hi All,

I have installed the new Jet Central Turbines Lights on my Xcalibur. These lights are great and the controller is awesome as well. They run about $230 for the setup I have installed on my jet. Here are some pics.

This light kit comes with a total of 7 lights. Three strobes, red and green Nav, belly beacon and one landing light. You can ad additional landing lights on the other struts but I think it's not worth the trouble because the way the main struts go in the wheel well. These lights are also very bright.
