Beware the prop adapter.

Think about prop adapters before you buy an electric motor. If you can't attach
a prop to it, it won't do you much good flying an airplane. Shaft type adapters
are plentiful and cheap but you risk bending the shaft and ruining the motor
every time you takeoff and land. One prop strike and your motor can be damaged.
Bolt on hub adapters normally won't hurt your motor unless you lawn dart the
plane, but they are normally aluminum and bend very
easily.
Hobbypartz.com doesn't stock prop adapters for the motors
they sell, or even honor the warrantee on them. The prop adapter is not part of
the motor and therefore not warranted, was what I was told by them recently. I'm
Shure they are not alone. Make Shure there are replacement prop adapters
available before buying a motor or your first prop strike on the ground may be
the last for that motor.

What motor? Shafts are cheap enough and around at a bunch of other places?
