Default What 3-blade prop on a MVVS 45cc engine?

Hi!
I have been using a 24x8 two blade prop on my MVVS 45cc engine using a MVVS cannister silencer (6500rpm) but sound in the air is rather high . I'm flying a 216cm span Yak-54.
I belive a 3-blade carbon prop would be quieter and perhaps perform as good as the two blade but how about size? 20x12" ?? 20x10"??

I use a Mejlik 20x12 carbon 3 bladder on a piped DLE55. The DLE also turns a 23x12 2 bladder very well. I think a 20x12 3 bladder would be too much prop for a 45 on muffler

A better 3 bladder for the 45 would be around 19x10, 20x8 or so, if you can find one.

I have found that trying to get the best 3 blade prop comes from experimenting with various diameter and pitch combos. The common theory for getting similar function from a 3 blade is dropping 1" in diameter and increasing 1" in pitch from the 2 blade you are running, but that only gets you in the ballpark. 3 blade props are not usually as efficient as 2 blade props but they are normally quieter. It is rare that you get quieter and better performance by going to a 3 blade prop.
Good luck on your quest.
