Need info on airstart Simjet
Hi all
A friend of mine bought this Simjet a few days ago, don't have the FEDEC manual, we like to know which turbine is this one ( I used to own a 2300 ) What kind of thrust we should expect from it and how to learn RC, don't have the GSU if it has one.
Thank you for any info that you may provided.

Carlos,
Looks like an early 1700, that should put out 17 lbs. It is all manual start, and there was no data terminal.
Set your end point (ATV) to 95 bottom and 125 top. You might have to adjust slightly if you do not get the
start light. When you turn the switch on, you will get a light (green or yellow), move the throttle trim up until
another light turns on (Green or yellow), engine is ready to start. apply glow, spin with air, release and allow
to slow down, apply propane, get pop, start air again until engine has fully started. The red light
will come on when fuel pump starts to run. If red light blinks, the glow plug is bad. Hope this helps.

I have the same engine but convert the ecu to a RAM ecu and electric start... works perfect for years

You gave us exactly what we needed to get this engine running.

Thank you for the video, I was thinking to convert it to auto start/Kero in the future with a Xicor FEDEC.
Thank you both for taking the time to reply.
