Cool job Joe, I wasn't as dedicated with my Fourth Reich jet.

Thanks for the pictures Joe. This jet was a 4.5 year project with my flying buddy and Henry Nguyen of HVN models in LA. Henry designed and molded and entire new fuse, hatch, with wing intakes and duct work. It also has a full cockpit, which left me with very little room for the install. He took the original Elan fuse and started adding material to get the shape correct, then with flitemetaled and detailed the plug before making the mold.
Henry fiberglass work is exceptional, solid fuse. Aircraft ply formers instead of China ply. Henry had all the internal wood parts laser cut for a perfect fit.
The jet is painted by Henry with Model Master RLM paints and then clear coated. We choose Promark graphics to produce the markings. The Revell kit was used for documentation.
I have built and flown a few Boomers for my friends. None of them have flown as nice as this jet. Everything fits very tight. We setup the throws and CG to match his current Boomer. It was perfect. Much faster than his other elan. Powered by a 120sx instead of a 120SE.
