Building Hacker's "Rosita" w/On Board Starter
I am building subject model from a 1924 copy of Motorboating Magazine....she is 76" overall length with 18" beam and will be powered with Zenoah G230PUM engine with centrifugal clutch. I lofted my drawing from a fold-out copy of the magazine article from a reduced view of the Line and Offsets. The model will include REVERSE using an electric clutch (Tiny Clutch Co./Hellander Products) coupled via timing belt to a 12 vdc auxillary motor....gas engine turns ccw and electric motor turns cw rotation. I need advice regarding Arrowshark's on-board electric starters.....which one to buy or is there another better brand? Please do not tell me to forget the gas and go with electric propulsion......I have been building boat models for over 58 years, am 77 years old, and know what I want. I have over 500 hours in this model with at least that many more to go. My cell number is 254-493-8493...would appreciate a call.....Thanks! ...John Campbell, Belton, Texas
