K100 diesel startup issues - strange parameters in ECU
Hi,
I got my self a second-hand K-100 and I'm having random failures during the ignition, sometimes it runs just fine and sometimes I need to re-try/prime several times till it starts.
I'm using Diesel and the guy that I bought the engine from also used Diesel and claimed that the engine started up fine in 99% of the cases (far from what I'm getting)
Few minutes ago I had a look on the parameters in the ECU and I must admit that most of them are pretty far from the numbers in the manual.
Can you have a look at these numbers and tell if you find them reasonable:
- Pump start point Auto+3
- Pump start ramp 7
- Glow power 7.3V
- Low battery 7.0V
- Starter power ignition 100
- Starter power fuel ramp 130
- RPM ignition K 3000
- Pump pw ignition K 21
- EGT end preheat 64C
- Preheat fuel 30%
Thanks!

Those settings are very aggressive for Diesel start. You are putting the fire out with to much fuel. You probably have a lot of fuel dripping from the exhaust during the starts that work. Change the following:
Auto +1
EGT 72*
Preheat fuel 19
Try that and see how it works for you.
