Default Best entry level on-road electric car?

I just can't spend the $300 to $400 or so needed to get an HPI Drift car (which I would love to have). What's the best entry level on-road electric RC car?

Thanks in advance!

not sure what your price range is, but I have had great luck with the Exceed DriftKing, there are tons of upgrades available for it so you can slowly improve the quality of the car over time:

They offer free shipping on parts orders over $25... probably worth stocking up on arms, hubs, spindles, CVD's and aluminum hexes. The platform will blow away the HPI Sprint on the track, I would compare the DriftKing to the Associated TC4 in terms of tunable performance, though it's not quite as durable as the TC4.

Thank you! This is exactly along the lines I was looking for!
